Visit Cascais just raised the bar, setting a new standard for sustainable tourism.
Cascais is a leader in sustainability, but Visit Cascais wanted to take it a step further, ensuring tourism directly benefits the destination itself.
We developed Cascais for Tomorrow, a custom-built initiative for Visit Cascais featuring a bespoke impact calculator, tailored methodologies for travellers + event planners, as well as carbon calculations calibrated specifically to Cascais + Portugal.
Together, we’re redefining what travel + events can do. Cascais leads the way by championing local communities, embracing authentic sustainability + proving that meaningful impact starts right here. Proud to partner with a destination that walks the talk + inspires us all to travel better.
Cascais Local Projects
We work with destinations to source and support local climate projects that have a real impact, right where it matters most. Every contribution made through Cascais for Tomorrow stays in Cascais, directly funding initiatives that build local resilience, rather than disappearing into vague, far-off offsets.
In Cascais, we partner with local environmental agency Cascais Ambiente to support four targeted projects addressing critical climate resilience challenges in the region.
Quinta do Pisão
Restoring Mediterranean forests and meadows with free-roaming animals, supporting biodiversity, and preventing wildfires.
Peninha Reforestation
Restoring native forests with grazing animals to reduce wildfire risk and improve habitat for local wildlife.
Cascais Reforestation Project
Reviving the native forest by removing invasive species and reintroducing roe deer to restore ecological balance.
Guincho-Cresmina Dunes
Protecting coastal dunes from erosion and human activity while restoring key habitats for endangered species.

To recognise + amplify action, we automated the delivery of a Contribution Pack for each successful contributor - complete with a personalised certificate + ready-to-share social media assets - celebrating their commitment + inspiring others to get involved.
All of this is brought to life through a dedicated website: an intuitive platform where users can calculate their impact, support local climate resilience projects + actively contribute to Cascais’ sustainable future.
